Missions

We at St. John's Presbyterian Church serve Christ by serving others through our local and global mission endeavors.

Members of SJPC are engaged in a wide variety of service opportunities in our community and beyond:

  • SJPC supports Churches in Partnership aiding Habitat for Humanity, Brushes With Kindness home repair and Heritage Community Garden.
  • Share House provides meal service for the hungry of Vancouver area.
  • Treasure House is a low cost store for clothing and household items and serves as the food bank for East Clark County. The “Lost & Found Café” serves a tasty meal to those who are hungry.
  • Prestige Care outreach is an opportunity for Bible Study and fellowship at a neighborhood care facility.
  • Ten Thousand Villages provides fair income to Third World people by marketing their handicrafts.
  • Friends of the Carpenter encourages the homeless and members of the church to share a common woodworking ministry.
  • Southwest Washington Hospice assists those facing end of life issues.
  • The Good Shepherd Hospital of the Democratic Republic of the Congo and the ministry of the Sivalee’s in Central Brazil is supported by SPJC.
  • Free Clinic Vancouver provides free basic health care to those unable to access such services.
